Welcome to Fishtail Ranch, in the beautiful Chama Valley of Northern New Mexico. We specialize in Fair Chase Hunts for Free Ranging Elk in Northern New Mexico and Southern Colorado.

Our private properties in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains offer some of the best Elk Hunting in North America. Outfitted hunts also available in the San Juan and Rio Grande National Forest of Southern Colorado. These wilderness hunts offer both Elk and Mule Deer opportunities well off the beaten path; guided or drop camps available.

In addition to a nice pack string for the winderness hunts, we breed AQHA Registered quarter horses with great foundation pedigrees that include NQHA point earners. Currently standing at stud are two Stallions with exceptional dispositions and cow sense. A true blue roan son of Rowdy Blue Man, and a grandson of Dual Pep.
